Lavender, Laughter and lots more

On Thursday January 19th Natter & Nosh’s Ladies Group enjoyed the first event of the year, as we were introduced to Essential Oils. It was full of great fellowship and extracts of expert Claire Sims’ journey into this health & wellbeing industry.

The night began with a warm welcome and a “wow!” spread for the food theme “Aromatic Foods”. Once filled with delicious food, we were introduced to essential oils. Claire gave a helpful disclaimer that essential oils are not the answer to everything and they are gifts from God that can be used as tools in holistic health treatment. From acne to verrucas there was an oil/oil combination for everything!

Claire mentioned that, even though there is much healing that can come through these essential oils, true inner peace comes from trusting in Jesus.

The talk was informative and gave us a chance to interact with the Young Living Essential Oils range that can be used, aromatically, topically and in cleaning. Claire shared the exciting science, history and benefits of essential oils, inspiring many to swap things like perfumes for oils. Every insight was appreciated and it was encouraging how much difference they had made in her family’s life over 5 years.

It was a full house with everyone eager to sample the vast range of oils at the end. Of course, we were happy to see the famous frankincense, also known as, “The King of Oils”, there as part of Young Living’s 12-starter pack oil set.

Thank you to all involved in organising this event.

The next Natter and Nosh will be on Thurs 30th March when a former female policewoman will share and the food theme will be ‘canteen food’.
