Every Tuesday we hold an afternoon service for just 1 hour during term time, which is open to everyone. After the service we stay for a cup of tea and a chat. Twice a term we provide a low cost lunch before the service.
It's a very informal service where we sit around tables and sing songs and hymns, pray and listen to what God has to say through the Bible. The Tuesday service is a caring place to meet with friends and learn more about God. You'll be blessed by discovering God's great love for you.
Our small groups are vital to our church vision of win-build-send as they repair us from life on our frontline and prepare us to go back out to our frontline. In our small groups we take time to study God’s word, to share together, to pray together and to care for one another.
We are continuing to use the Swedish Bible Study Method, and will be studying the book of Romans from Jan 2019. in our next Small Group meeting we shall be looking at Romans 16, for more information please click the following link.
Swedish Bible study method involves reading the Scripture and then going through it with these 3 things in mind:
*A light bulb: Share something that ‘shines’ from the passage—whatever impacts most, or draws attention.
*A question mark: What do you find difficult to understand in the text, or what question would you like to ask the writer of the passage or the Lord?
*An arrow: What would be a personal application for my life?
This is a time of bible study and praying together. We pray for three things: whatever is on our hearts, whoever is on our hearts, and whatever we are involved in.
At our next Prayer Central, on Wed 13th Feb, we shall be praying for ‘Caring for Life’ the charity which supports vulnerable people in the Leeds area. For more information click here.
