Impact and Discovery - on a trip to the theatre

On 27th April 2018, 27 of us from both Discovery and Impact youth groups (including youth and leaders), went to see “The Hiding Place”- the story of Corrie Ten Boon rescuing largely Jewish people during the 2nd World War - at the Lantern Arts Centre in Raynes Park.

As someone who is interested in both history and drama this play was great! It really opened my eyes into how we can help one person or a group of people no matter what they are going through. The fact it was performed by people of our age made it more explicit to me of what young people can do to help others.

My Dad always tried to make me read about Corrie Ten Boom but I never really researched her. After the seeing the play it has made me more interested in her work and the history around her.
