Little Rascals

Little Rascals aims to be the friendliest Toddler group in the area. We seek to offer our community an opportunity for Mums /Dads and Carers to bring their children to a safe, happy and fun environment.

The Little Rascals team is made up of volunteers. Some have young children and some are Grandparents and some are in between! We aim to support the needs of attendees not only on a Friday morning but in other practical or spiritual ways as needs arise.

The leaders are all Christians, so there is a strong Christian ethos and the songs we sing and the books available to read all reflect our faith. All are invited to attend Church meetings and events and we pray that coming to Little Rascals will be the first step into other Church activities.

Our session times are 9.30-11.30am during term time and costs only £1 for a family. We serve fresh coffee and Tea (and plenty of alternatives) for the adults from 9.30 onwards. We encourage the children to sit with their drink and biscuit and fruit at 10.15am. What makes us unique is that we always serve homemade cakes for the adults too! After refreshments there is always a craft activity and then the singing session starts at around 11.10 and we finish at 11.30am.

Here is a snap shot of activities we have run over the past year:

  • Charity Coffee morning with a fabulous cake sale
  • Easter Party
  • Beep Beep day – A morning when we highlight road safety to Parents and Carers
  • Teddy Bears Picnic – A fun morning in a home with a lovely large garden and an individual picnic box provided for the children.
  • Family fun Day

So please drop in anytime between 9.30 and 11.30am (although earlier the better if you want to get the best cakes!).

Please avoid parking or turning in Brook Road.

Parking available in Gladstone Rd.  KT6 5DD.

There is a small cut through which then can be used to walk to Brook Rd.

The end of last term saw the grand unveiling of the new Little Rascals Storage Cupboard.  Well we say cupboard, but basically it's an extension to the building to house all our toys!  This was thoughfullly built by a team from the church who had independently seen the need due to the growing number of toys.

Each week at Little Rascals all our parents and carers help move all the toys at the end of the session so we can all enjoy a time of singing and general jumping about.  What makes Rascals so special from a Church point of view is that our attendees are all willing to help out and it is a real team effort.  The arrival of our new storage facility makes the job a lot easier for everyone.

Our thanks go to all who built it, giving their time and skills.
